Privacy Policy

In short: PixRinse is built to process your images on your Mac. We do not upload source images or generated image files to our servers. You choose what leaves your device.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Thinksview (“Thinksview”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the PixRinse macOS application and the PixRinse website at PixRinse.com (together, the “Services”).

2. Information PixRinse handles

Image files and folders

PixRinse processes images, file names and folder structures locally on your Mac. The app accesses only the files or folders you explicitly choose through macOS. Source images and generated outputs are not uploaded by the core image-processing workflow.

Local app data

Recipes, job history, thumbnails, backup manifests, rollback data and preferences are stored locally in the app’s macOS container or in locations you select. This data is not available to us through the app’s normal processing workflow.

Optional feedback

If you choose to send feedback from PixRinse, the app may send your message, app version, macOS version, language, an anonymous installation identifier and basic diagnostic context to our feedback service. If you attach screenshots or other files, those attachments are sent because you selected them. The app does not attach your image library automatically. Do not include information you do not want to share.

Website requests

The PixRinse website is intended to be a static informational site and does not require an account. We do not intentionally place advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts on the site. Like most websites, the hosting provider may process routine technical request data such as an IP address, browser type and request time in server logs for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

  • To run the local image-processing features you request.
  • To maintain local history, backups and recovery information so that PixRinse can be reversible and safe.
  • To respond to feedback and diagnose issues when you voluntarily contact us.
  • To protect the Services against abuse, fraud and security incidents.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to provide a service you request, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transfer. Optional feedback may be processed by the service provider that hosts our feedback endpoint. We do not send source images there unless you explicitly attach them.

5. Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on your Mac until you delete it through PixRinse, macOS storage controls or by uninstalling the app. Feedback records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot and maintain product quality, subject to legal and operational requirements. You can ask us to delete a feedback submission by emailing [email protected]; please include enough detail for us to find it without sending the files again.

6. Security

PixRinse uses macOS file permissions and sandboxing to limit access to user-selected files. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please keep your Mac and backups protected and avoid including sensitive content in optional feedback.

7. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age required by applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at [email protected] and we will review your request under applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy when the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Continued use of the Services after an update means the updated Policy applies to the extent permitted by law.
